Traveling | Italy

Venice, Italy
My friends and I took a six week trip to Europe and I'd have to say; we got lucky!
We felt safe, for the most part, & didn't get that lost.
That being said, If I had to pick a moment where we were the most stressed, it would be the travel between Switzerland and Italy.
Deciding to travel throughout the night seemed like a good idea until we realized we would encounter
a packed train we didn't have tickets for, a million homeless people, & an abandoned train station.
Luckily, we met some girls our age that were studying abroad in Austria
and a lovely woman from Mexico that was traveling Europe by herself. Great company!

After 12 long hours on multiple trains with no sleep, we arrived in Venice.
It was amazing! The city is filled with art, tons of history (that I know none of), and the best pasta I have ever eaten.
My favorite thing was the silence. There were no vehicles or even bikes on the island.
You could literally hear your footsteps everywhere you went.

Burano, Italy
This is an island near Venice. While we were staying, there we took a day trip to this colorful little town.
The day was spent eating and taking photos, which is what we all love.

Cinque Terre, Italy
This is not the name of the actual town because there are actually 5 towns that make up the Cinque Terre (which means five lands).
It's a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera.
You can either hike from town to town or take the train.
We hiked to three of them and took the train to the fourth because the trails were closed for the season.
We didn't make it to the last town because it was getting late, but that just gives us all a reason to go back!

Roma, Italy
We visited Rome on Easter weekend which may have caused us not to see as much as we would have liked, so many poeplleeee
Rome is so HUGE, but so beautiful!
We were typical tourists because it's such a large city, we didn't even know where to start.
We hit up Castle St. Angelo, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon,
St. Peters Basilica, Colosseum, & the Spanish Steps.

Near the Spanish Steps we found a pasta shop that makes one pasta recipe each day & serves it until they run out.
If you ever go to Italy, you need to find this place!
Throughout the two days we spent there, a lot of Lizzie Micguire songs were sang.
I definitely want to visit Rome again, there's so much to see!
