What is your ultimate date night?
”We have weekly date nights, and we hold these evenings to be sacred. It always includes dinner and some kind of activity. Whether that be bowling, going to a comedy show, checking out an art fair or playing trivia, we make a conscious effort to have one special night a week reserved for our date night.”
How did he propose?
”On the anniversary of our first date, we celebrated by taking a walk in our neighborhood. Much like our first date, we smiled a lot and talked about life. We walked up to the Witch's Hat, overlooking the city of Minneapolis. I (Katie) sat myself on the railing and Arthur stood there with the ring in his pocket that he thoughtfully designed over the last five months. We both teared up as he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I screamed, "Oh my god! Of course! YES!”
Do you have a favorite moment from your wedding day?
”Holding Arthur’s hands at the handcrafted cedar arch he made and snorting back tears and we said, “I do.” Also, getting married on my grandma’s lawn. She’s my best friend and her home on the water is my second home. I’ve always dreamed of being married there, and am beyond thrilled that it became a reality.” - Katie
